Disappearing geometry with Storm on MacOS

I noticed that on mac (M3 but also happened on Intel) that geometry is disappearing in usd scenes while rendering with Storm. Does anyone else see similar issues?

Hmm I do not see the same behaviour here. What USD version is it? Does changing your near clip setting on the camera help at all?

We first thought this was an issue on our end in mayaHydra but this issue is reproducible just with usdview which I built on macOS. I used USD v24.11 but this happened in previous versions as well.

Does this only happen for you on a Mac? Without access to the scene, it would be hard to say where an issue might be.

If it’s possible, I’d recommend opening an issue on the GitHub repo and attaching the scene if possible.

Just what I wanted to propose. I will try to get a sharable repo scene and then will create a github issue. And this is only happening on Mac. We never have seen this on Windows or Linux.

You likely tested this already ( and it would not be Mac only ) but I have seen behavior like this when the bounding boxes are not aligned with the geometry.
