Issue with HdMergingSceneIndex

I found a very annoying bug with this commit HdMergingSceneIndex::RemoveInputScene: some refactoring for readability. · PixarAnimationStudios/OpenUSD@2ee856c · GitHub
where the rewriting of RemoveInputScene is using an iterator after erasing it.
I already filled a bug but I think I have 2 options. I either wait for another release (and I’m not sure it will be fixed) or I fork it.
Why there is no release patch ? like v24.11.1 etc ?

Pixar currently does not have the bandwidth to curate patch releases, but I have begun discussing that and other build/versioning/developer experience topics in the AOUSD Technical Advisory Committee-- stay tuned.
