One of the major features we want to deliver for our first release of 2026 is Sparse Array Overrides. Many of the needed low level pieces have already landed, but as we’ve approached the finish line, our core test suite has turned up some issues that we want to address robustly, and doing so will carry us past our usual 26.02 code lockdown date. Therefore, as we’ve done once or twice in the past for other big features that we were committed to landing, we’d like to shift our first release to a 26.03 release, likely released mid/end of February, expected to be followed as usual by a 26.05 release.
