I made a workflow to take descriptions of meshes/materials and texts for products and export interactive product configurator scenes compatible to Apple’s build-in “AR Quick Look” service, available on iOS/iPadOS (since iOS13.1) and soon xrOS.

To achieve that, I analysed the USD export of RealityComposer to better understand Apple’s official docs of the preliminary_ schemes, they introduced with iOS13.1.

I hope, Apple will follow up on this path and soon introduce an ECS based XR game engine with levels/scenes and assets all stored as USDZ files (and maybe streams). This way, we could provide interactive content without an App.
