# OpenUSD v26.11.1 has been released!

This release is following the [release branch proposal](https://github.com/sunyab/OpenUSD-proposals/blob/release_branches/proposals/release_branches/README.md), so OpenUSD 26.11 is now available in the GitHub repository in the branch [v26.11](https://github.com/PixarAnimationStudios/OpenUSD/tree/v26.11) with the tag [v26.11.1](https://github.com/PixarAnimationStudios/OpenUSD/releases/tag/v26.11.1). (In an early exercise of release branches, v26.11 has already been updated to v26.11.1, superseding v26.11.0 before it could even be announced.)

Note that because we now publish individual release branches, the [release](https://github.com/PixarAnimationStudios/OpenUSD/tree/release) branch has been deprecated, and our intent is to remove it from GitHub entirely. Existing tags for earlier releases will continue to work. Please let us know if this raises any concerns.
